Pensions Certificate in ED&I through Nelu Solutions

Receive a Pensions Certificate in ED&I through Nelu Solutions (“Nelu”) in partnership with the Pensions Management Institute. Apply immediately actionable steps to further board equality, diversity, and inclusion (“ED&I”) and ESG strategic objectives.

Following a renewed social justice movement and a global pandemic that brought deep health and financial disparities to the fore, the social and governance impact of ED&I has become an area of focus.

Today’s workforce is more diverse than ever before, and their views, expectations, and experiences are much different than what existed even in the recent past. These changes have forced governments, employers, and corporate boards alike to modernize their approach to socio-environmental engagement. In fact, a majority the world’s top ten economies have now moved to enforce ESG regulations beyond environmental issues.

Pension trustee boards have responded by updating their ESG investment strategies to evaluate the social and governance impact of the assets in which they invest, but struggle to diversify board members and evaluate the impact of ED&I on decision-making and membership engagement strategies.

The social and regulatory risk is mounting. Employers are now pushing their DE&I initiatives beyond their internal operations and out to their vendors and suppliers. The implementation of auto-enrolment is continuing to increase the gender, ethnic, and racial diversity of pension populations. Plus, The Pension Regulator (“TPR”) has laid out aggressive ED&I goals for itself, and has issued guidance stating its intention to begin collecting trustee board diversity data and understand the fiduciary and member-outcome impact of ED&I initiatives.

The time is now. Prepare for the evolving regulatory and social landscape by strengthening your ED&I strategies and standards. This will be an interactive workshop, inclusive of quizzes and case studies.
