Julian is a Partner within the Pension Administration practice area at Barnett Waddingham. He began his career in the pension administration industry in 1988 having previously worked within both a pensions consultancy and an insurance company before joining Barnett Waddingham in 1999.

Julian is involved in the day to day operation of the practice area and is a member of the Firm’s Pension Administration Board, which is responsible for setting strategy within the pension administration business. He sits on a number of internal committees and is head of the Pension Administration Technical Team.

Andy's main expertise revolves around pension administration, bulk annuities and banking services. His experience and proactive approach provides our clients with a high quality and reliable administration service.

Andy has set up the administration functions at Barnett Waddingham in their Birmingham office in June 2008 and Bristol office in 2017. He is Lead Partner for a varied portfolio of defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) pension schemes providing all aspects of pension administration services.

Katie has over 11 years of experience advising many of the Pinsent Masons Pensions team's largest and most high profile clients, including Toyota, Cadbury, Heinz and GKN. As well as being the day to day client contact and team lead for these clients, Katie has also led the client teams on numerous high value projects, including the landmark merger of the Premier Foods and RHM pension schemes. Alongside her defined benefit practice, Katie specialises in advising trustees of authorised master trusts on all relevant matters, including the Pension Regulator's supervision regime, ESG and TCFD requirements and on-boarding of new employers. This year she led the team advising SEI and the Trustee of the SEI Master Trust on the purchase of the Atlas Master Trust from Capita.

Katie is well known in the pensions community for her engaging and highly personable style. She regularly speaks at industry events and provides training to trustees.

In the last 30 years Kim has developed a deep knowledge of the pensions industry and its operation. Her experience covers both DB and DC, but she is also an acknowledged DC specialist. She set up KGC in 2002, which is now in its 20th year and is a Fellow of both the PMI and Pensions Advisory Service.

Kim is PMI Principal Examiner for Professionalism and Governance and on the Examining Committee. She was a founding director of the Pensions Administration Standards Association and has been Chair since 2019. She is a Trustee of the Crystal master trust and an Accredited Professional Trustee. Kim also sits on the Pension Dashboards Programme Steering Group, the Small Pots Co-ordination Group and represented PASA on the ERI Taskforce.

Kim is a business graduate and holds a Diploma in Business Excellence. Outside of pensions she is a British Dressage judge, as well as competing on her own horses.

Richard is a Technology Risk Advisory Senior Manager at RSM UK, focusing on cyber security and IT consulting. He has over 20 years of experience, having worked for various leading IT companies during his career and performed projects and migrations for many large corporates and listed companies. He is passionate about cyber security and risk management and has spent the majority of his career growing and understanding complex security systems.

Richard started out in IT in 1999 after studying and completing a Microsoft MCSE and A+ certification and is a CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker). Richard spent the first 6 years as a roaming engineer, attending to day to day support requests and a further 6 years managing a top mobile network's internal infrastructure.

Richard joined RSM South Africa in 2016 where he was the National IT Manager and Senior Manager of IT consulting/cyber security in the Risk Advisory department before relocating to the UK.

Richard is a regular speaker on cyber security and often releases articles on the ever changing cyber security landscape.
