Frankie leads Cardano Advisory’s Risk Settlement practice, which advises trustees and corporate sponsors on preparing for and then securing buy-ins and buyouts transactions. He spent the prior eleven years working at three bulk annuity providers, most recently leading the Client Solutions team within Legal & General’s Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) team. He has been involved in over 100 PRT transactions, ranging from £2 million to £1 billion.
Frankie is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
Ashu Bhargava is Clara’s Chief Origination Officer. Ashu works with trustees, sponsors and advisers to determine whether Clara can improve member outcomes. Where Clara can improve member outcomes, Ashu works with all parties to transfer to Clara.
Ashu has over 25 years’ experience in the pensions market, including at WTW, where he worked as both a Scheme and Corporate Actuary, and at L&G where he led bulk annuity transactions. While at WTW, a project led by Ashu won the Professional Pensions Pension Scheme Trustees of the Year Award and Pension Age Best Risk Management Exercise Award. While at L&G, a project led by Ashu won the Pension Age Best Risk Management Exercise Award.
Rob is the Director of Commercial for Just’s DB business.
His team is responsible for business development, trustee relationships, reinsurance relationships and proposition development.
Rob started his actuarial career in a small company and then qualified at Aviva where he worked on various actuarial roles for 13 years.
He has been involved in bulk annuities since 2008, firstly on the actuarial pricing at Aviva and since 2014 leading the business development team at Just.
Rob has deep experience in the DB sector, having worked on hundreds of transactions.
Shehzad has worked on some of the most high profile cases in the industry and his clients have ranged in size from £1m to £bn+, including many household names. Shehzad has wider experience of journey planning, risk transfer as well as developing alternative end game solutions.
He has previously been Head of Professional Corporate Sole Trusteeship and Risk Transfer at another trustee firm and has also managed the PPF’s legal panel.
As well as being a fully accredited trustee, Shehzad is APMI accredited and has experience from outside the pensions industry as a forensic expert witness.
