Mark van den Berghen
Mark van den Berghen
Buck
- Principal & Senior Consulting Actuary

Mark has over 20 years of experience advising trustees and sponsors on DB pensions. Advising on ‘both sides of the fence’ ensures he understands all points of view and tailors his advice accordingly.

Mark prides himself on taking specific scheme circumstances into account when advising on strategy and works hard to support the preferred solution, as long as risk is managed appropriately.

Alongside his client work, Mark leads Buck’s Liability Management proposition - being featured in an article on the front of the Financial Times earlier this year. He also leads Buck’s Brexit Working Party and has a seat on Buck’s corporate consulting team, as well as Buck’s settlement team.

Outside of Buck, Mark coaches his son’s football team, enjoys watching as much sport as he can and is an avid Maidenhead United fan - for his sins.
